  • Dougal McRae says:

So sorry to hear about George. Our sons were on the same team in soccer & futsal for a number of years. He very generously (and bravely!) shared coaching duties with another parent for U13s – not an easy age to deal with and as well as being a great coach he was very patient and put up with a lot as we had a couple of troublemakers at that age. I think he only lost it a couple of times over the whole season, which was kind of funny to see as I think those were the only two times I ever saw him lose his cool!

I hadn’t seen him for several years but would often think of him. Always such a positive person, very thoughtful of others and always had a smile on his face. A model person in many ways. I’m sure his loss will be sorely felt by many people.

    RIP George.
